This merchant has some decent items, much of which are, as their name states, Overstocks. As such, some products are last years stock but no less great buys. My only issue with them is their re-stocking charge so I try to be careful about what I buy.

I was able to get a nice watch at a very reasonable cost. The site had lots of variety. $1 for shipping was a great cost saver too.

Overstock is one of my "go-to" online stores for everything from books/DVDs to furniture (fabulous armoire, great mini-desk) to home goods (yummy flannel sheet sets, fleece blankets, and best price I've ever found on a great quality king size waterproof mattress pad). The shipping prices are fabulously low ALL the time! And the customer service is top notch. I recommend Overstock to all of my family and friends, and I am (and will be again!) a repeat customer.

I was supposed to get 12% off and $1 shipping. I ordered two books and they told me one of the books was no longer available after I placed the order. In addition, on the two orders I placed with the $1 shipping, they charged me more. It still ended up a little cheaper than other sites, but I was not happy.
One book arrived in less than a week, which I consider fast, the second order was placed a couple of days latter, so it hasn't even been a week.

Awfull!! Shipped me a totally wrong rug! A customer service reps casuallly explained: "Oh, your rug was out of stock, so guys have picked another rug." Men, thay don't understand those things! She promised, UPS will pick up the rug (80 lb, BTW) "sometime next week" - and then I am getting emails "bring it to the nearest UPS location", "we will charge a restocking fee". What type of racketeering business they run?

My transaction went very well with Overstock. Their site is easy to navigate and the prices are lower than other online retailers. One downside to Overstock is their promotions. They do not explain what the promotion does and doesn't work on. You have to do a trial and error to find out if the promotion will work for you. But, all in all, they are a very good online store.

Prices for name-brand merchandise are okay. They sent me the wrong item on one order and it was extremely difficult to get the issue corrected.

Overstock ships very quickly. They will not hold items to ship until everything is in, so you'll get in-stock items ASAP. Their total shipping on most orders is $2.95, and sometimes they have specials featuring $1 or free shipping.

Overstock always has great prices and it is a really easy website to use. I have only had good experiences with this website, and I never heard any bad stories about Overstock. I have bought a number of very nice products from Overstock that would have cost several times as much anywhere else. All of my friends shop from Overstock as well, and have similar good stories. I often have people suggest that I should purchase something from Overstock because of the amazing prices. I completely recommend that people look at Overstock first when they want to purchase something online, and only look elsewhere if Overstock doesn't carry what they're looking for. I always get the best deal from Overstock!

It is really hard to get an item returned to Overstock.com. Other then that it is a good place to shop with good deals. I like to shop for bedding there. The jewelry section is cool too - you can get amazing deal on hand-made jewelry.

On my last two orders, I went through Mr. Rebates, and was suppose to get 12% off, it was last week. They gave me $5.00 off. I wrote to customer service at Overstock.com, and received no reply. The next day I again went to Vverstock.com through Mr. Rebates and was suppose to get $15.00 off if I spent $150.00 (or something like that), anyway, they did not give that to me either. However, I did in touch with a chat representative from Overstock. She was extremely professional, worked hard, and got both of those problems resolved. I think their email response to the consumer could definitely use improvement. But the client representative was great. As far as the products on Overstock, they have excellent prices and are the best!! What beats all is that I can go through Mr. Rebates and save even more money. Can't beat it!!

I once had a problem and called their Customer Service Dept. Even though I thought everything was resolved with the call I received another call back to make sure the matter was taken care of. That's GREAT customer service.
