eBay is great place to find deals or unique hard-to-find items. I love to check there before paying more at a retail store. Sometimes, the retail store is just as cheap, especially if there's a sale, because some sellers on eBay tend to inflate the shipping charges, but usually I'm able to save by purchasing from eBay. One of the great features of eBay is the "Buyer & Seller" feedback, because you are able to see from previous people's experiences how reliable the person is you are considering purchasing from. My overall experience with eBay has been wonderful!

When I initially signed onto eBay, I was looking for bronze or gold colored BCBG shoes and I was lucky enough to find the perfect pair. The price was $49.99, I wish they would have been a little bit cheaper, but I need them for an event on Wednesday. The seller was very cooperative with me, she sent my shoes out immediately after I paid for them and included the tracking number. I haven't received the shoes yet, but from the pictures I expect them to be beautiful.

1) eBay is an excellent place to get the lowest price on virtually everything. I am not sure about cars, though.
2) Customer service is decent with most eBay merchants. Pay attention to their feedback – the more the better, and positive feedback over say 97% is a must.
3) Having done over 150 eBay transactions, both as buyer and seller, I only had problems with 2 customers which were non-paying bidders.
4) Be aware that many eBay items, although very cheap, come without or with limited warranty. This is usually okay with cheap electronics, but I would refrain from buying laptops on eBay.

eBay is a great place to shop, and combined with PayPal provides good protection for purchases. The problem with eBay is the pricing - you can see a good deal initially but people OVERCHARGE for shipping and a rule should be made for unreasonable shipping charges. The seller I purchased from had digital content so shipping was not an issue; he was a good seller and very prompt and friendly. eBay is a great place to shop but please be careful, use PayPal ONLY, and use a credit card on PayPal for double protection. Your credit card number will not be leaked to anyone if you use it on PayPal, but if you directly pay for your purchase on eBay without using PayPal, I don’t think it’s the best idea.

I have brought many items from eBay. Some with good experiences, and some with bad. You have to be aware of what you buy and asked lots of questions before you auction for the item. There are many sellers that do anything to get your money including lying for it. Others, are very nice.

eBay is a great place to shop! It's always my first stop when looking for hard to find items. I've found most of the prices and shipping charges to be reasonable and have always received the items I've paid for promptly. There have been a couple of times where there was an order mix-up, but the sellers have been very honest and resolved any problems.

The items I was looking for were at good prices. The only drawback would be the number of hits got for my 1 item, which could possibly be considered a positive thing to some people. However, it makes the final choosing of what to buy a lot more complicated and time consuming.
