I was buying an office chair and went into the store first to try chairs out before ordering online. I found a chair that was comfortable enough at a good price because it was on sale, but overall I found the selection unappealing and overpriced. Also, the store itself was rather depressing - it was clean and orderly but insufferably dull. Going to OfficeMax, though far from inspiring, was a much pleasanter experience. That said, the free delivery was welcome and prompt - I placed my order late one afternoon and had my chair the next morning.

Lately, Office Depot offers competitive pricing. However, its customer service team is disappointing. It takes considerable effort to bring them on the same page with oneself in regards to product promotions. Their communication skills are poor. Office Depot ordering system in inflexible (i.e. I was unable to cancel an order even though it didn't ship yet). Some feature on Office Depot website are buggy and non-functional (i.e. clicking on a promotional ad doesn't bring you anywhere).

Office Depot is always having special deals on their name brand. Prices are always great and products are just as good as the name brand products. I will definitely continue to do business with them again.

I was very happy with the selection of products that Office Depot had. I searched Office Max and was disappointed of the number of products I couldn't find. I was able to navigate the website much more quickly and check out just as quickly. I will definitely be using them again for my office products. I was able to locate the ink I needed very quickly also. I had trouble with Office Max's presentation of the inks for my printer. I had trouble finding an HP ink on Office Max's site and found it very quickly on Office Depot's site. Office Depot's selection of appointment books was much larger; Office Max's selection was very limited.

Free shipping and handling for qualified purchases is a nice bonus. Unfortunately, 1 day delivery only applies to items in stock in the local warehouse. They were quick to rectify a mistake made with my order. However, customer service representatives can barely speak English or have heavy accents and telephone communication was difficult. Overall, I would buy again.

The ink depot section of the site made it easy to locate the type of toner I needed. After locating it, I would have liked that all relevant cartridges were displayed. Instead, I had to go looking individually for each color that I needed. Also, it took me a while to realize that the price changed when I changed my shipping option from delivery to pick up in store. It would have been nice if the site had put up a flag to indicate that prices differ depending on shipping option requested.

I like shopping with Office Depot. I have found my experiences enjoyable. I like the way they tell you an item is unavailable when you order it, as it saves time. Delivery is very fast, usually 1-2 days.

Office Depot and OfficeMax both seem to carry pretty much the same stuff. Both offer a rebate and make it easy to order. Office Depot has always been very easy to order from, but their shipping tends to be a bit slower than most other office stores. But still a good buy.

One can't use any coupons for technology items. That isn't a good thing. Rebates are not reliable and are a pain to file. I always can find better deals. The only good thing is that they are in areas that Staples aren’t. I rate them 5 out of 10.

This was my first time to order from their site, and it went very smooth. I did have to call them twice because I had additional questions about a product. They were friendly and very helpful. I saw on Mr. Rebates a great cash back for their site, and needing some supplies, I went shopping at their site! There were so many items on sale, a great selection and shipping was low. Also, their site offers the recommendations along side of your items, and this sure saves time when you have a lot to buy. They don't have a lot to choose from in some of their categories, but I do know their products are good quality and you won't be disappointed.
