I didn't know about the site, but once I found it I was happy. Great selection of books. The main reason I ordered from this site is because it had the lowest price. I did pay extra for quicker shipping which was the downfall. The expected shipping time is long.

I have found old book & cookbooks that I had been trying to find for a long time without success until Alibris.com. The selection of the type & condition of the books, as well as the range of prices gave me a good choice to fit within my budget. I've had nothing but great experiences.

Great - I found all of the review boos that I needed to study for the USMLE for just a few dollars each. Shipping was very reasonable and they arrived in a very reasonable time. They were exactly as expected!

Similar to AbeBooks, Alibris is a collection of independent booksellers. One can purchase books at excellent prices, especially if one looks for hard-to-find, out-of-print books. I especially like Advance Readers Copies of books that have not been published yet. Signed books are available as well.

As far as I can see, there is no way to send a gift card with package. I didn't realize that there was also no "one-last-screen to check where package was to be sent so I ended up having the package come to me instead of the person earmarked for it.
I sent an e-mail to Alibris immediately but the package went out as is.
I like Alibris for products being sent directly to me. Even though they are slightly pricier than Amazon, they do offer 3% rebate thru this website and you're more likely to have coupon specials and an easier time than with Amazon.

Alibris is a good place to buy books. They sell used books in good condition and at good prices. Moreover, the shipping is fast and they always e-mail you the latest status of your order. I do not need to be worried about when my order will come. It is real helpful.
