Great place to look for deals on used textbooks and others. You have to be sure you have the correct ISBN and weed through all the earlier and international editions that are available. These are usually cheaper, but you're never quite sure what you're going to get, so you have to be a bit careful. If you can find what you need, its usually cheaper than anywhere else.

Abebooks is rarely my first choice for an online bookstore, but I've had great experiences whenever I've used them. Of particular note, after a book didn't arrive for a couple weeks after the seller reported it sent, and the seller would not respond to my emails, I contacted Abebooks. They let me know they'd ended their partnership with that seller because this was a common problem. They immediately refunded my money. Good job!

Amazing selection, but the "free shipping" didn't really work. I ordered $35.66 in books and had to pay $53.00 in shipping.

I loved this store. I had found the same book like $12 more at Barnes&Nobles.
You can compare with many sellers on pricing and shipping. Package arrived pretty fast for my media class I had choosen. Thanks again.

Honestly, I found more success with Abe than with the other leading company we had been using. The book selection was more vast and older, therefore the rare Children's books I was looking for were in stock. The price ranges were ideal for our penny pinching family! Abe Books is our first choice for book sales now!

AbeBooks is well priced bookstore. It competes well with both Amazon and Half. I have not had any problems with shipping or slow customer service. I would recommend AbeBooks to other potential buyers and plan on using them again in the future.

Wonderful store for hard-to-find books at great prices. One can order from many booksellers, many of whom are located abroad. One can order Advance Readers Copies of books that have not yet been published.

I haven't had any problems with Abebooks.com. They have been excellent in providing a wide-range of books from different vendors. It's great that one can order books that are inexpensive and those that are out of print, and hard to find.

Abebooks makes shopping for used books simple. It's like having one giant warehouse where every mom and pop shop around the world made its inventory available for browsing! You select what you want, pay for it through Abe, and the rest takes care of itself!
The selection is incredible. Prices can vary widely because you're tapping into a whole network of retailers. But that leaves plenty of room to find amazing bargains. You can even find books that have gone out of print, often for less than you thought possible.
If that weren't enough, you get a bonus from Mr. Rebates. How can you beat that?

This is absolutely the best book store in the world. Think of a book and you can probably find it on ABE Books.com. Several sources and prices will be listed and you can take your choice, new, used, your choice, your price. The only thing missing is that wonderful smell of new books in the bookstore. There is one slight annoyance with buying books in this fashion and that is sellers don't seem to readily update the books they have available; however, the availability of so many sellers in one place outweighs any negatives. When I first heard about ABE Books, I pictured a gentlemen in a top hat selling books...but a clearinghouse for thousands of booksellers is a wondrous delight for book lovers.

I love ABE because you can usually find the book you're looking for, plus other books by the same author that you never knew they had written.
I have never had a problem receiving any book, including ones I've ordered from overseas, in my case England and Australia plus Canada.
The condition of the books have been fair, a lot of wear to cover to almost mint. I never received anything in poor condition, with missing or torn pages or covers.
The first place I go for out of print books.

This is the best bookstore in the USA for out-of-print books. The store offers the books from international booksellers, so if you are interested in books published outside the USA, this is the place for you. Also, if for some reason you never received you book, you will be refunded, which is a safe way to shop from international booksellers. Furthermore, you pay for books through Abebooks.com, thus different booksellers do not have access to your financial information.
