You can usually find a good deal on their site. Sometimes adding a hotel stay to your flight, even if you don't need it, lowers the price of the original flight. Very reliable site.

Usually Expedia does provide good discounts for hotels, if you are not traveling during the travel season. But do not trust their hotel descriptions, which are always embellished. I would recommend checking with tripadvisor.com first (At least one could see the candid pictures there). The site is not the best to buy plane tickets. It charges $5 fee. Plus, it is easier to cancel the tickets dealing directly with airlines than with Expedia (Expedia charges $130).

The only downside is that sometimes it takes several weeks for the rebate to post at Mr. Rebates.

Expedia.com is the only place I found within my countless hours of flight searching that offers last minute flights without a hassle of 2 or more days in advance-type bookings. I love them because of their choices and service, plus great prices. Getting cash-back on travel from Mr. Rebates with Expedia is a big bonus.
