Called the customer service number and couldn't get my question answered because the automated menu was difficult to navigate. Found the information buried in the website terms and conitions.
It was my first time bidding on Priceline and it went smoothly. I wish there was an option to cancel expired bids that failed.

Priceline is my very first 'go-to' web site when booking flights or hotel reservations. I have consitently been able to save money and time when using Priceline for my travel needs. Even better, use their bidding site, cpmbined with research on the web site, betterbidding.com, to get the very best prices possible!

Priceline is a good site to use to avoid the fee ($5 or more) direct airlines charge its customers for talking to a reservationist. Downside: If travel plans change, the customer will contact Priceline instead of the airlines. Overall, site is user-friendly and pricing is comparable to other travel sites. I have used it several times through MrRebates.

Priceline.com is wonderful for picking up a great flight for a reasonable price. The experience of searching and finding the best price is pretty simple and the website is laid out nicely. Name your own price is also a great feature that helps you save money and if you aren't looking for the exactly time of day you should try it out.

Because of the name your own price feature, I was able to stay in a 3.5 star hotel for a ridiculously low price! All I can say is, Priceline.com ROCKS!

Priceline is a terrific resource if you know how to use it correctly. I've successfully won 3 hotel stays through this site, and the deals just can't be beat. However, make sure you really research hotels in your area and proper bidding techniques before bidding. If you don't know what you're doing you won't get as good of a deal, and bids can't be taken back! The only negative about Priceline is their lack of customer service. I had an issue with one of my bookings and the hotel chain told me to call Priceline and Priceline gave me their typical canned response that they can't do anything. Basically this is the response you get with any type of question about a booked stay. I don't think the representative even listened to my question before responding.

I have used the bid process for car rentals and have gotten very good deals. Once I had to cancel a trip and forfeited the price of car rental though. I will use the bid process on cars again and plan to try to bid on a hotel in the near future.

I have used Priceline for airfare, cars and hotels. I've never done the blind bidding thing for the airfare, but as a travel agent they are great. I've done the bid thing on cars and hotels and have always received great service, and a great price.

If you're skilled at Priceline you can get amazing deals. If you're not, you may be disappointed and will certainly overpay (bid too high). Prior to using Priceline, investigate hotel prices through the online services and also see what Hotwire hotels are going for in the area and dates you'll be bidding. Also, I highly recommend you check out www.biddingfortravel.com and get educated prior to your Priceline experience.

Overall, I will use Priceline again, but customer service is difficult to actually talk to someone (Automated Attendant/push button prompts... waiting..... and waiting.....), and they are limited in 'what' they can actually do. For example, I had to make seat designations for my flights, but I was told to call the airlines directly, that Priceline couldn't 'do that' (so why is seat preference selection offered???). The Priceline Customer Service Representative was as pleasant and helpful as possible, but it was frustrating to go thru the whole push-button and wait forever process, and then find out I had to call someone else!!!

Priceline offers a few different ways for you to search for tickets, which is nice especially if you have flexible dates for your trip. I didn't find that they offered prices that were much less than the airlines for my trip, however, because my travel dates were fixed. You also might want to consider purchasing your hotel directly from the individual sites, or from a hotel-specific site like Hotels.com, because the flight-hotel combo tends to be pricier than they would be if purchased separately.

In general, Priceline.com is really good about finding the low price. I only get frustrated whenever it advertise the sale for car rentals (with some rates as low as $11 in some city). What I really would like for it to do is have a search engine that allows you to search by the city with the best rates available for each respective car class instead of a few listing of the different rates for a few cities for a few car classes. I had to actually put a search in, a time consuming process, in order to eventually find out what rates are available for my city and car class of interest. Overall, it's a good site and I would still recommend it.

I always use Priceline when I book a hotel. I have always stayed in 3 star or higher. It is a very good deal. I have never been disappointed in the places that I have stayed. I will use Priceline again and again.

Searching for and booking my flight on Priceline was seamless. The selection of flights offered was competitive. Pricing was competitive with other travel websites and Delta Airlines' own site. No complaints!

I have used Priceline.com several times. Each time I have purchased from Priceline, the procedure has been very easy. I have purchased airline tickets, cruises, rental cars, vacation packages, and hotels. I have received very good prices and very good customer service.
