I have had a couple of horrible transactions with Franklin Covey recently. I made one order and bought a portfolio, binder, classic nylon zipper carrier with undated starter system and a punch. The portfolio, binder and zipper carrier were just awful quality. The edges were rough, the paper in the portfolio was all dented up from the zipper and the zipper carrier started unraveling with a couple of weeks. The punch came later because it was backordered. It was scuffed up and the Franklin Covey symbol was half rubbed up. It looked obviously used. I contacted Customer Service, their response was "We do not sell defective items." When I asked about returns they wouldn't explain how to return by mail and told me I could return to a store. Well we went to the store, they refused to give us cash back only a gift card. So I ended up buying a leather compass planner online. Well I got it last night. It was literally just thrown in a box with some brown paper scrunched up on top of it. As you can imagine the front is all scuffed up. Not only that but the quality is retched. It's retail price is $99 and the edges are sloppy. I am so disappointed. Now I have to go through the whole return and then take another chance on another item since they won't give me cash back plus I'm going to be out my shipping charges. I also made a couple of orders one for rollabind plastic covers and rings and one with paper forms, a meal planning pack and reciept envelopes. I can recommend both the rollabind plastic covers and the paper forms. But I HGHLY recommend that you stay clear of their binders and folios.
I can't recommend Franklin Covey at all. Their quality has taken a huge nose dive. We own an older leather planner from them. It's quality was so good, now their stuff just looks cheaply made. It is insane they charge so much for junky quality. My Levenger folio is MUCH better quality and they packed it well. I'm staying far from Franklin Covey from now on. They have really disappointed me. Next I'm going to try Daytimer to see how their quality is.

The Franklin Covey site is fairly easy to use if you are familiar with their products. If not, it might be hard to figure things out. I had a very good experience with the online chat function of customer service. They responded very promptly and clearly answered my questions.
