Although Half.com is owned by eBay. In my opinion, it is a little safer ordering from Half.com because usually you have less sellers trying to scam you by selling books/dvds/games. Sometimes the prices on the same items are cheaper on half.com than ebay so you have to shop around to get the maximum discount.

half.com is indispensable for students, is saved me an absolute fortune on college textbooks. I also really like selling on half.com because it is really simple. It is much easier to sell here that it is on eBay because you do not have to set up a listing. All you have to do is look for the book via the ISBN number, write a short description and quality rating, set a price and click list. Half.com has so many users that you do not have to wait very long to sell your book if you set a good price. The website lets you keep an inventory of all your listings so you can change your price and/or descriptions very easily. It is really nice to be able to see what the current market value of a given book is. This is a really awesome website and there is an excellent portal for its users to buy and sell books. You can use the same account as your eBay account, so you can combine your feedback scores.

Half.com is a wonderful website. It has a lot of books and movies too. Make sure to buy a lot from the same seller. Mr. Rebates even makes it more worthwhile.

Easy site to use and from which to order. Each time I have purchased books or other printed material from a vendor on Half.com my order has been delivered promptly. Why pay retail prices for books, maps, etc. when there is Half.com?

Half.com has a super selection, due to the huge number of sellers. It's a shame that eBay doesn't market this harder than it does. It really seems to be treated as the ugly stepchild. With a little effort, this could easily compete with Amazon.com. As it stands, I find that few people are aware that it exists. It's big, big flaw is the same as eBay's. The company truly doesn't seem to feel that there is a reason for them to talk to you. This is compounded by the lack of any mechanism to allow you to ask the seller anything about his item.

When it comes to buying books, DVDs, or CDs, I always go to both Half.com and Amazon first to check for the best price. Often it's Half.com. I've received some wonderful deals here, and the shipping is reasonable. One complaint is since this company is owned by eBay, why don't they accept Paypal? It would make ordering a lot more convenient!

You can save a bundle on books here, especially if you buy used. I have bought here many times and the only problem was a couple of slow shippers. You can also buy CD's and DVD's here.

Half.com is a great find! I've found several books at much lower prices with them. You are dependent on the seller for things like how fast your item is shipped. However, they do provide ratings of their sellers. The only downside is they don't have every book your heart desires.

They have great prices on cd's and dvd's. There is a hugh selection of items to choose from. I have shopped numerous times with half.com and have been pleased with everything. The items come as described.

First time orderer. Great selection, easy ordering, good confirmation of every step along the way. Divided the selections into "new" and "Used" so I could see the difference. Have not recieved order yet but I just ordered 2 days ago.

The site is easy to navigate. I was able to quickly find what I was looking for. The prices were much cheaper than other sites. The shipping was much cheaper than the shipping charged on eBay for the same items.

I almost never buy a book, video, or CD without checking Half.com first. I like it better as a buyer than as a seller. Everything I've ever sold on Half.com has lingered forever before being sold, and because of the quantity of the same item for sale prices are really low for paperback books (this, of course, is good for the buyer.) If you've never sold there, too, you'd be surprised to learn that even though Half.com charges $3.25 for media mail for a paperback, it doesn't give $3.25 to the seller/sender.....It's like a hidden commission that you pay. But, as a buyer, I can't complain. And many of the dealers are full-time businesses.

To me, Half.com is simply one of the best sites for shopping on the internet. There is a wide selection of books and other items with a real variety of conditions and prices. It is a relatively safe way to shop if one is patient enough to use the eBay feedback system to identify the better sellers who ship fast, give accurate grading of their books, and are otherwise reliable. I love a bargain and find that Half.com is a great site for bargains as long as I am able to resist a great price from a Seller that has proven unreliable in the past.
Overall, Half.com is a wonderful buying experience for a patient bargain hunter. I would highly recommend this site.
